Members of the Shakespeare Round Table in Bowling Green met in September to begin their 119th year of studying the works of William Shakespeare. The fall social was held at Carter House on Church Street in Bowling Green. President Patti Rish welcomed members and associate members to an afternoon tea where attendees reflected on the Shakespeare Round Table’s history and on the recent season of performances at the Stratford Festival in Ontario, Canada.
The chairperson for the event, Becky White-Schooner, explained that the floral centerpieces were composed of plants mentioned in Shakespeare’s works and were grown on her farm. Guests were treated to a small wood-burned portrait of Shakespeare, also created by White-Schooner.
Members of the committee who planned the kick-off to the 119th year of study were Judy Boutelle, Kathy East, Chelsea Cloeter and Nancy Euler.
