The Wood County Sheriff’s Office, along with Wood County Coroner’s Office, is investigating the death of Dorothy M. Daman, 86, and Dale F. Daman Jr., 57. Both were found in their residence in the 5000 block of Genoa Road in Troy Township.
The preliminary investigation does not indicate foul play was involved, and is not suspected.
Wood County Sheriff’s Office deputies were requested to go to the address for a welfare check. The request was made by a concerned neighbor, who had not seen the Damans for approximately two weeks.
The sheriff’s office, along with Troy Township Fire and EMS personnel, were on the scene for approximately three hours. An autopsy will be performed later this week by the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.
The incident remains under investigation.
