Sondra Salaz, 58 years of age, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 17, 2016.
Sondra was born on March 2, 1958 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Vincent and Marian (Stevens) Baird. She married Nickolas Salaz on March 25, 1978 in Portage, Ohio and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2014.
Sondra was a 1976 graduate of Elmwood High School and worked several years for Modine Manufacturing and most recently she was employed as an Occupation Operator for Seagate Plastics in Waterville, Ohio. Sondra loved taking care of her favorite four legged furry friends, she enjoyed everything about nature especially feeding the squirrels and birds. Sondra loved the “sister time” she had with her sister Brenda and also her trips to Savannah, Georgia to visit her daughter Shari. Sondra will not only be missed for her excellent cooking skills but for her endless humor.
Sondra is survived by her daughter: Shari Salaz, of Savannah, Georgia; a sister: Brenda (Paul) Miller, of Findlay, Ohio; brothers: Danny (Mary) Baird, of McComb, Ohio and Gary Baird, of North Baltimore, Ohio.
A Memorial Gathering for Sondra will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster Street, P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, Tele: 419-352-2171.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be gifted in Sondra’s honor to the American Cancer Society of Northwest Ohio.
