Speakers set for BG Interfaith Breakfast

The Fourth Annual Bowling Green Community Interfaith Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, April 3 at the Junior Fair Building of the Wood County Fairgrounds. The event is free but reservations are required, with a deadline of Thursday, March 29. Not In Our Town – BG, the event sponsor, has announced a wide range of participants. Keynote speaker Dr. Michael S. Brown, the president of the Campus Multifaith Alliance at Bowling Green State University, is a nationally recognized campus consultant, life coach and mentor. Welcoming remarks will come from Rodney Rogers, the new president of Bowling Green State University, from Bowling Green Mayor Richard Edwards and from school superintendent Francis Scruci.

Spiritual contributions will be offered by a variety of faith leaders, including Dr. Talel Eid, the Imam of the Greater Toledo Islamic Center. This year’s theme of “Peace Through Religious Diversity” will be highlighted through an art show from Bowling Green High School students and through music from the BG Madrigals.

The Breakfast meal, donated by South Side 6, will be available starting at 7:15 a.m.,with the program presented from 7:45 – 9 a.m. The breakfast will also feature art on the theme of “peace” from BG High School students, as well as music from the BG Madrigals.
