Bowling Green businesses and residents woke up to the new year today to find green spray paint on their exterior walls and vehicles.
As of this morning, Bowling Green Police Division had received six reports of spray paint on the back of downtown businesses, such as Ben’s, and some vehicles parked outside along Pearl Street.
Some of the spray paint was of obscene language or images like male genitalia, according to Police Lt. Dan Mancuso. Other sites just reported lines of the green spray paint.
Police are expecting more reports as people go out to their vehicles and as businesses open.
“We don’t know how far it extends,” Mancuso said.
