Stephen Gayler Triggs, age 76 of Bowling Green, Ohio passed peacefully away September 7, 2019, surrounded by his family after a two and a half year struggle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
Steve was born on June 21,1943 in Kingston-Upon-Thames, England to Gayler and Queenie (Stephens) Triggs. On March 13, 1965, he married Jennifer Joan Howell. Steve and Jenny went on to celebrate 54-years of marriage together. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Triggs of Bowling Green, his sons, Clayton (Hillary) Triggs of Gainesville, Georgia; Lloyd (Megan) Triggs of Bowling Green and his grandchildren, Jackson and Liam Triggs of Bowling Green, as well as Sienna and Maxwell Triggs along with Oksana, Brauch and Hamil Owens of Gainesville, Georgia; and a sister, Jennifer (Triggs) Alexander of Somerset, England.
Steve was an Old Surbitonian and a graduate of Surbiton Grammar School. He also earned an undergraduate degree from Nottingham University in Great Britain.
He worked in marketing throughout his career and attained senior executive positions while representing companies such as ICL, Honeywell and Wang while living in Cobham, Surrey, England. In 1987, Wang Computers sponsored he and his family to emigrate to the United States of America making their home in Windham, New Hampshire for 14-years. He and Jenny eventually moved to Gilbert, Arizona and most recently lived in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Steve’s memberships included FreeMasons, Rotary and Round Table. He enjoyed and was very knowledgeable about cars and was passionate about Formula One Racing.
