Storm risk downgraded to ‘marginal’

Jeff Klein, Emergency Management Agency  director for Wood County, has issued the following advisory:n

The NWS Storm Prediction Center has downgraded Wood County from the “Slight” to “Marginal” Risk.  The “Slight” risk is not far from Wood County to our south and east.  While this is good news, we still are at an elevated risk above a general thunderstorm.  Rain fall is expected to be less than a tenth of an inch except during thunderstorms.  We encourage you to remain aware of local conditions and media reports.

The Wood County EMA will continue to monitor and provide updates as they become available.
