Bowling Green Police responded to PNC Bank, 735 S. Main St., Tuesday afternoon, after the bank received an envelope which “scanned suspicious.”
The letter was delivered to the bank by the regular postal carrier, who told bank staff that the envelope had “scanned suspicious” and had postage on it from 2010. The letter had seven stamps on it and the return address had been whited out. PNC Bank was handwritten on the front, over top of whiteout.
Bank staff did not open the envelope, but sealed it in a plastic bag and turned it over to police.
According to Police Lt. Dan Mancuso, the division is determining what type of testing should be done on the envelope.
