As of the deadline at 4 p.m. today (2/5), local issues to appear on the May 6 special/primary election were filed with the Wood County Board of Elections. Also required to file today were candidates for Bowling Green City Council and Bowling Green Municipal Court Judge.
Following is a list of the three school issues to appear on the ballot May 6 in Wood County:
- Bowling Green City School District: 0.75% income tax levy, for five years, for current expenses.
- Perrysburg Exempted Village School District: 1.9-mill renewal tax levy, for five years, for general permanent improvements.
- Rossford Exempted Village School District: 4.9-mill renewal and decrease tax levy, for five years, for current expenses.
Also filing as of today’s deadline were candidates for Bowling Green City Council. None will appear on the primary ballot, since neither party exceeds the number that can be elected on the November ballot. Those who filed are:
Council at-large seats (two to be elected):
- Katelyn Elliott, Democratic.
- Mark Hollenbaugh, Democratic.
- Gregory Robinette, Republican.
First Ward seat:
- Jordan Musgrave, Democratic.
Second Ward seat:
- Joel O’Dorisio, Democratic.
Third Ward seat:
- Kathleen Dennis, Democratic.
Fourth Ward seat:
- Audrey Baker, Democratic.
- William Herald, Republican.
Filing for the judgeship of Bowling Green Municipal Court is:
- Alyssa Blackburn, Republican.
Another filing deadline falls on May 5, at 4 p.m., for any independent candidates, who do not wish to be affiliated with any political party, for Bowling Green City Council or the municipal court judge seat.
