Tina Lee Tracy, a loving and compassionate soul, passed away on May 12, 2024, at the age of 62, at home surrounded by her children. Born on August 16, 1961, in Las Cruces, NM, and moved to Bowling Green, Ohio, at the age of 2. Tina has spent recent months in Cottontown, TN.
Tina attended Elmwood High School and Penta Career Center.
Described as loving, authentic, resilient, witty, compassionate, selfless, genuine, honest, and hardworking, Tina never wanted to burden others with her troubles. She found immense joy in being surrounded by her family; her proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. Tina lovingly assisted her Aunt Bev in caring for her grandmother, Lillian Deerwester, and was a dedicated caregiver to her Father and Mother in their times of need.
In her professional life, Tina dedicated 27 years to BGSU. Her dedication and hard work were evident in everything she did.
Tina had a deep and abiding faith in the LORD, finding comfort, peace, and joy in Scripture. She treated others with kindness and followed the golden rule of treating others as she would like to be treated.
Tina grew up attending Cloverdale Methodist and later attended Victory Chapel.
Tina is survived by her siblings, Jerry and Donna (Dehart) Tracy in Cleveland, TN, Joe and Jackie (Current)Tracy in Haskins, OH, Terri (Tracy) Brooks Jerrycity, OH, and Jim and Linda (George) Tracy in Cygnet, OH; her children and their spouses, Brett Pogan Jr and Casey (Irons) Pogan in Toledo, OH, and Nicole “Nikki” Vestal and Robert “Rob” Vestal in Cottontown, TN; her grandchildren; Alex Bovia, Kaily Caldwell, Lillian Vestal, Macy Pogan, Vivvian Vestal, and Laney Pogan; her aunt, Beverly “Bev” Deerwester in Fostoria, OH; her aunt, Clarice Tracy in Cincinnati, OH; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special mention of Jim Engelman in Wayne OH having been friends for nearly four decades.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents, William “Bill” Tracy and Janet (Deerwester) Tracy. Her Grandparents Herman Tracy and Flossie (Chamblin) Tracy and Mark Deerwester and Lillian (Smith) Deerwester. Her stillborn son, Ronald Todd Tracy. Her brother-in-Law, Denny Brooks. Her Uncles Mark Deerwester and Virgil Tracy. Her Aunts Virginia, Ruth Ellen, and Yvonne.
Tina’s kind heart, loving spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family and others will be deeply missed. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, selflessness, and love that will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace and joy.
Tina’s funeral service will be held on Monday May 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Jim Tracy and Mr. Best will be officiating. Interment will follow at Weaver Cemetery on Eagleville Rd in North Baltimore. Visitation will be held Monday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
