A Toledo man was arrested for felony burglary early Monday morning in the 700 block of High Street.

Bowling Green Police responded around 2:20 a.m. to a burglary in progress at the apartment. The victim told officers that when she returned home she could smell a man’s cologne as soon as she opened her apartment door.

The woman noticed two water bottles and a bag of chips by the couch. She told police that her boyfriend, Tyler Reynolds, walked out from the spare bedroom.

The woman told Reynolds she was calling police, and he then reportedly grabbed her vehicle and house keys and fled the residence.

While police were talking with the victim, Reynolds reportedly called the woman. He told police that he also lives at the apartment. However, he reportedly admitted to not having a key to the apartment and not getting any mail there.

The woman told police that Reynolds has been following her at work. She said he has been banned from her workplace.

Police took photos of a torn window screen, fingerprints on the window where it appeared to have been forced open, and shoe prints in the mud underneath the window.

Shortly after officers left the residence, the woman called to say Reynolds had just sent her a video of him getting into his vehicle and driving toward Bowling Green. When Reynolds pulled up in front of the apartment at 5:50 a.m., officers arrested him and took him to the Wood County jail.
