Town hall meeting set on opioid crisis and older adults

The public is invited to a Town Hall Meeting with Lance Robertson, assistant secretary of aging at the Department of Health and Human Services, to discuss the impact of the opioid crisis on older adults. The event will be held Oct. 5, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Penta Career Center, 9301 Buck Road, Perrysburg.

In addition to Robertson, a panel of health care professionals will discuss approaches to managing acute and chronic pain. The goal is to develop strategies and solutions to the opioid crisis that is gripping the nation and having a tremendous impact on the older adult population.
