Tree sale and workshop planned by Wood Soil and Water Conservation District

The Wood Soil and Water Conservation District is planning its annual tree sale and tree workshop.

The 2023 tree seedling sale offers:

  • Conifers – American Arborvitae, Norway Spruce, Red Cedar, Concolor Fir, and Bald Cypress.
  • Hardwoods – Paper Birch, Sugar Maple, Swamp Chestnut Oak, and Redbud.
  • Wildlife shrubs – Black Cherry, Button Bush, Downy Serviceberry, and Sargent Crabapple. 

Conifer packets are $17 with 10 seedlings per packet and the hardwoods and wildlife shrubs are $15 per packet.

The order and payment deadline is March 1. Order forms are available on the website at www.woodswcd.com, on Facebook, or at the district office located at 1616 E. Wooster St., Bowling Green, in the Courtyard at Greenwood Centre.

A tree workshop is being offered Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Ag Incubator Foundation, 13737 Middleton Pike Bowling Green. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 6:30 p.m. Craig Everett, OSU Extension horticulturist, will give a brief presentation and answer questions. Register online at www.woodswcd.com or call the district office at 419-354-5517 #4 to ensure enough materials and snacks. The workshop is free and open to the community.
