Zachary Keller (left) and Jacob Dick have changed their pleas to guilty of ethnic intimidation and felonious assault.

The two men charged in the attack at the Waffle House restaurant last year in Bowling Green have changed their pleas to guilty.

Jacob Dick, 22, of North Baltimore, and Zachary Keller, 21, of Custar, both pleaded guilty to felonious assault and ethnic intimidation.

The trial of both men was to start Tuesday, and was scheduled for three days in the courtroom of Wood County Common Pleas Judge Matt Reger. Ten witnesses had been subpoenaed to testify.

Sentencing is scheduled in Reger’s courtroom on March 27, at 3 p.m. for Keller and 3:30 p.m. for Dick.

The two men were charged with beating up two high school students and calling them racist slurs on March 31, around 3:26 a.m., in the Waffle House on East Wooster Street.

Waffle House employees and customers told police the victims did nothing to provoke the attack. The victims were taken to Wood County Hospital. One had a broken nose and other injuries. The other had an injured shoulder and bruised back.
