Bowling Green Police Division is looking for two men suspected of assaulting someone in the downtown area, stealing his car, then leaving that car on the east side of town and possibly stealing a different vehicle.
On Sunday at 2:24 a.m., the Bowling Green Police Division responded to the parking lot area behind the northwest corner of West Wooster Street and North Main Street, for a reported robbery.
The victim was reportedly assaulted by two suspects and his GMC Terrain was stolen.
Downtown cameras caught images of the two suspects.
Less than 20 minutes later, police responded to a home in the 200 block of Manville Avenue, where another vehicle was reported stolen. In that case, it was a silver Volkswagen Golf taken.
Police recovered the vehicle reportedly stolen from downtown in the nearby area of Lehman and Manville avenues.
Lt. Dan Mancuso said the two incidents are being investigated as connected because of the timing and the close location where the first vehicle was left and the second one was stolen.
Bowling Green Police Division detectives continue to investigate these incidents.
