United Falcons ready to celebrate Homecoming 2017


Bowling Green State University will celebrate Homecoming Friday, Oct. 13 through Sunday, Oct. 15 with a variety of events for students, alumni and community members.

The festivities will formally kick off at 5:30 p.m. Friday with a Homecoming Parade featuring floats, faculty/staff queen and king, undergraduate Homecoming Court, local dignitaries, special entries and members of the Bowling Green community. The parade will travel from South Grove and Wooster to Wooster and North Mercer. This year’s parade theme is BG Falcons: United as one and second to none.

Other events Friday include campus tours and the Taste of BG, which features samples from local restaurants (while quantities last).

Oct. 14 will feature the Freddie & Frieda 5K, Greek Village open houses and tailgating before the Falcons face the Ohio University Bobcats at 3:30 p.m. at Doyt Perry Stadium.

Sunday events include a Falcon women’s soccer match.
