Vaccination clinic to serve diverse populations and eliminate language barriers

Welcome BG, in collaboration with La Conexion and the Wood County Health Department, announces a Coronavirus Vaccination Clinic to be held on April 9, at the Wood County Health Department’s Health and Wellness Center at 1840 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, from 1 to 8 p.m.

Pre-registration is required to secure the time slot and reduce the number of steps in the vaccination process.

The City of Bowling Green will offer free transportation to and from the location. To schedule a ride, call 1-800-579-4299 – 24 hours before your appointment. Specify that it’s for COVID-19 vaccination in order to receive the free fare. It’s preferred that the return trip be made at the same time.

This free vaccination clinic will serve the Latina/o/xs and diverse populations and eliminate barriers of language access, lack of transportation, lack of technology access that is required for online registration and flexible hours. Bilingual persons will be available at the site during the event.
