Wanda Chapman

Wanda Mason Chapman, 92, passed away peacefully Friday April 8, 2016 at the Heritage Health Care Campus after a brief illness. Wanda was born August 15, 1923 in Oblong, Illinois to Clay and
Esther (Eaton) Mason. She attended Brown Business College in Terra Haute, Indiana and was employed by Marathon Oil Company. Her 69-year marriage to Russell W. Chapman, on September 1, 1946 was parted only by her death. She is survived by Russell, her children Linda Chapman (Robert) Spitler, Wayne Mason Chapman, grandsons Andrew Chapman Spitler, Nathaniel Eaton Spitler, Nicholas Ames Spitler, Daniel Ryan Chapman and great grandson Bradley Mason Spitler. Wanda and Russell met while both were employed at Marathon in Robinson, Illinois. Then in 1960, transferred to Findlay, Ohio where they lived 53 years. They recently moved to Bowling Green, Ohio to be with family. Wanda was a 56 year member of St.Mark’s United Methodist Church in Findlay, Ohio and active member of several volunteer and charitable organizations. Most importantly, Wanda was a wonderful mother; grandmother and great grandmother, so delighted to have a great grandson carry her maiden name. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Robinson, Illinois. Dunn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
