Ginny Storey, a resident at The Waterford at Levis Commons. had a dream come true through the facility’s “Tree of Dreams” program. She wished for a day to be spent at a Toledo Walleye game.
Storey was a hockey mom – her sons played hockey throughout their youth and through high school and beyond. She spent countless hours at the rink supporting what her boys loved.
Walleye players Sam Craggs, Will Cullen, Brandon Cruse and Chase Gresock (all former BGSU hockey players) came to the Waterford at Levis Commons to personally invite her to their upcoming game on Dec. 6.
Not only did she receive tickets, the players brought her a hockey stick signed by the team and a Walleye hoodie. Storey was thrilled by the visit and generosity, and is excited to root this team on with many of her family and friends attending along with her.
The Waterford’s “Tree of Dreams” program focuses on fulfilling the dreams of their residents. The goal is to improve the quality of their lives by providing special attention and honoring them while creating ever-lasting memories.
