THURSDAY, AUG. 4

Senior Citizen’s Day (65 and older)

Free admission for senior citizens and an entertaining lineup of activities highlight the annual Wood County Fair Senior Day on Thursday, Aug. 4. Hosted by the Wood County Committee on Aging, the day’s events will include coffee and doughnuts, entertainment, lunch and door prize drawings. Lunch reservations were required by July 29.

All events are held under the tent. Attendees should enter through Gate B or C off of Poe Road.

A free shuttle from the parking lot on Poe Road to the fairgrounds is provided on Senior Day via golf carts courtesy of the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. Seniors can call 419-352-8257 from the parking lot for the free shuttle.

9-9:50 a.m. – Jake Pilewski, guitarist, singer-song writer, jazz & blues to folk, country and rock, from Rossford; Coffee & Donuts sponsored by Devoted Health

9:50-10 a.m. – Welcome & Opening Address; National Anthem by Jake Pilewski

10-11 a.m. – Spittin’ Image, Blain and Brian Swabb

11-11:10 a.m. – Door Prize Drawing (must be present to win)

11:10 a.m. – 12:10 p.m. – Bliss, songs of all genres

12:10-12:30 p.m. – Afternoon address and lunch sponsored by Amada Senior Care, Bowling Green Manor, Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Hanneman Family Funeral Homes, ProHealth Menu-Stacked Turkey or Ham, cold beans, heritage coleslaw, melon salad, Rice Krispie treat and water.

12:30-1:15 p.m. – Comedy Magic Show by Mike Bishop

1:30-2:30 p.m. – Just Jazz

2:30 p.m. – Door prize drawing (Must be present to win)
