Whitehouse church presents ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ on Christmas Eve

The Hope United Methodist Church in Whitehouse will present a reimagined rendition of the beloved classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” in a captivating 45-minute radio play format, Sunday, Christmas Eve, at 4 and 10 p.m.  Adapted for the modern audience while retaining the timeless charm of the original story, this production promises to enchant listeners of all ages.

The performances are free to the public, but seating is limited.  

Inspired by the enduring Frank Capra film, this reinterpreted radio play transports audiences into the heartwarming world of George Bailey, a man on the brink of despair, whose life takes an unexpected turn thanks to the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence. “It’s a Wonderful Life” is based on the story, “The Greatest Gift,” by Philip Van Doren Stern, as adapted by Joe Landry. 

This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast.  The audience will embark on a poignant journey through the trials and triumphs of George Bailey as he discovers the profound impact of his existence on the small town of Bedford Falls. The magic of radio theater brings the vivid characters and iconic scenes to life, creating an immersive experience that captures the essence of the holiday spirit.
