William J. Pierson, 70, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away January 21, 2024. He was born October 23, 1953 to the late Alexander and Clara (Richards) Pierson.
Bill was a 1971 graduate of Wheaton High School and went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Maryland in 1976. He worked as a teacher for the Maryland State Department of Education as a middle school math teacher. He also worked as a teacher for the Maryland State Department of Corrections.
Bill enjoyed acting and juggling. His acting career took him all over the United States including Virginia, Florida, New York, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and he excelled onstage after moving to Ohio, including shows with the Village Players Theatre and Black Swamp Players.
Bill is survived by his nieces Sudie Hargis (Dianne) of Juneau, Alaska and Lee Huntzinger of Albuquerque, New Mexico, cousins Michael Halleck (Susan) of Pine Hurst, North Carolina, Peter (Marilyn) Halleck of Bowling Green, Ohio, Katherine Krabill (Larry) of Wilson, North Carolina, Mary (John) Frobose of Bowling Green, Ohio and Joan Aiken of Maryland. In recent years, Bill became close with his second cousins Pierson (Elizabeth), Katie, and Patrick Halleck of Bowling Green, Ohio. Bill is also survived by an amazing array of friends and loved ones who were a key part of his life and careers.
A celebration of Bill’s life is being planned for spring 2024. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
