William L “Bill” Poulin

William L. “Bill” Poulin, 85, a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, died September 4, 2016 at Spring Meadows Senior Community. His wife Lorraine was by his side. He was born June 1, 1931 to William C. and Helen (Franklin) Poulin in Toledo, OH.Bill served in the U.S. Air force as part of the military police during the Korean War. He worked as a machinist for Columbia Gas for over 40 years. Bill earned the nickname “Walla Walla Washington” for driving his wife to WA to her family reunion for many years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles. Bill also raced stock cars at the Toledo Speedway. He attended the Toledo First Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Bill married Lorraine (Leno) November 22, 1952 in College Place, WA. She survives along with children, Karen (Kevin) Gray, Sandra (William) Sliwinski, and William S. (Lori) Poulin, grandchildren, Katrina (Adam) Peinert, Kyla (Robert) Reams, Kristopher (Taryn Mendive) Gray, Dakota (Arshad) Husain, Alexandra (Aaron Mowery) Sliwinski, Adrienne Sliwinski, Alycia (Dave Hartford) Poulin, Megan Garland, and Jordan (Emily) Garland, 14 great grandchildren, and special care givers, loving nieces, Lynn Dartt and Pam Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Norma Harrison and Carol Beauch.

Friends and family are invited to visitation Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 12 noon at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Rd. Waterville, OH.
