Winter weather warning issued; snow accumulations of 10-16 inches expected

The National Weather Service Cleveland.has issued a winter storm warning effective 7 a.m. Wednesday (Feb.2) through 7 a.m. Friday (Feb. 4).

Heavy snow expected with total snow accumulations of 10 to 16 inches in Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky, Hancock and Seneca counties. 

Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. 

Heaviest snow expected Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. Snowfall rates may exceed one inch per hour at times.
