One more Wood County resident with COVID-19 has died, bringing the total to 13 local residents dying with the virus in the last two weeks. The latest to die was a male in his 60s, with underlying health conditions.
Wood County has a total of 90 confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19, according to the Tuesday, April 21, update from the Wood County Health Department.
As of today, 51 confirmed and probable cases are in long-term care facilities in the county – with 38 being residents and 13 being staff at the facilities.
A total of 36 people with the virus in the county are hospitalized.
Those with the virus range in age from 20 to 96, with the median age of 64. Of those, 52 are female, 38 are male.
No additional information about the 90 Wood County residents will be provided by the health department in order to protect their privacy.
