The number of COVID cases continue to drop in Wood County, with 111 new cases reported in the last seven days, according to the Wood County Health Department. That is down to 85 cases per 100,000 residents.
There were 12 new hospitalizations reported from COVID between Feb. 4 and Feb. 17, with the age range of 5 to 89.
There were seven new deaths from COVID reported between Feb. 11 and Feb. 17, with the age range of 54 to 97.
The health department statistics show that people 5 and older who completed a vaccine series and a booster were more than 60% less likely to get COVID than people who had not completed a vaccine series.
