Wood County District Advisory Council to meet to fill three seats on county board of health

The Wood County District Advisory Council (DAC) will meet on Thursday, March 21, at 6 p.m., in the board room at the Wood County Health Department, located at 1840 E. Gypsy Lane Road in Bowling Green.  

The purpose of the meeting is to elect the DAC chair and secretary; make necessary appointments to the board of health; receive and consider the annual or special reports from the board of health; and make recommendations to the board of health or to the department of health in regard to matters for the betterment of health and sanitation within the district or for needed legislation.   

There are two board of health seats expiring on March 31. The terms for these seats are five years, beginning on April 1, and expiring on March 31, 2029.  Additionally, there is one seat with a term that will expire on March 31, 2026, that is vacant.  Therefore, the DAC will review applications for a total of three seats on the board of health. 

Interested applicants may apply by sending a cover letter expressing their interest and a resume, which includes their applicable experience, to DAC@woodcountyohio.gov. Applications must be received by March 14.
