Wood County has 15 deaths, plus 103 confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases

Two more Wood County residents with COVID-19 have died, bringing the total deaths to 15.

Wood County also now has 103 confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19, according to the Thursday, April 23, update from the Wood County Health Department.

As of Wednesday, there were 57 confirmed and probable cases are in long-term care facilities in the county – with 45 being residents and 12 being staff at the facilities. Those numbers will be updated every Wednesday.

The following local long-term care facilities have cases:

  • Kingston Residence of Perrysburg: 22 residents, 6 staff.
  • The Manor at Perrysburg: 13 residents, 5 staff.
  • SKLD Perrysburg: 10 residents, 0 staff.
  • Otterbein Perrysburg: 1 staff, 0 residents.

A total of 40 people with the virus in the county are hospitalized. 

Those with the virus range in age from 20 to 96, with the median age of 63. Of the 103 cases, 60 are female, 43 are male.

Of the 15 county residents with COVID-19 who have died, eight were females, and seven were males. Four were in their 60s, four in their 70s, five in their 80s, and two in their 90s. All had underlying medical conditions.

No additional information about the 103 Wood County residents will be provided by the health department in order to protect their privacy.
