The Ohio State Patrol is investigating a pedestrian crash in Fremont that killed a graduate of Elmwood High School.
Last Wednesday, at approximately 10:43 p.m., a pedestrian was on Napoleon Road just west of Sullivan Road near Terra Community College.
A small silver pickup truck, which was eastbound on Napoleon Road, reportedly struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene. The pedestrian, Anthony C. Ervin, 18 years old from Bloomdale, was flown from the scene with injuries to Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
On Friday, Ervin was flown to OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, where he later died from his injuries on Saturday.
The small silver pickup truck that struck the pedestrian was never located. Anyone who has any information about the silver pickup truck should contact the State Highway Patrol at 419-332-0085 or 419-625-6565.
