The number of COVID cases continue to drop in Wood County, with 215 new cases reported in the last seven days, according to the Wood County Health Department. That is down to 164 cases per 100,000 residents.
There were 33 new hospitalizations reported from COVID between Jan. 20 and Feb. 3, with the age range of 4 to 101.
There were 15 new deaths from COVID reported between Jan. 28 and Feb. 10, with the age range of 40 to 100.
The health department statistics show that people who have not completed a vaccine series are 85% more likely to be hospitalized for COVID than people who have completed the series and received a booster.
