Wood County no longer at risk for severe weather

The Wood County Emergency Management Agency  has issued the following advisory:

Wood County has been downgraded and is no longer in the “Slight Risk” for severe weather. 

The current forecast is for the storms to strengthen around 8pm and remain strong through about midnight before they begin to weaken, with the storm risk tapering by 3am. The strongest storms will contain storm gusts of 40-50mph, moderate amounts of lightening and rainfall totaling 0.5-1.0”.  Small hail will also be possible. Again, please make sure your phones are not set to silent, you have multiple ways to receive notifications and be prepared to take shelter incase of severe weather.
