Wild Skills: Fire and Shelter

Gain survival know-how to prepare yourself for when outdoor adventures turn sour, then put your new-found skills to the test! Participants learn multiple ways to start fires and create their own survival shelter out of natural materials. Be prepared for the weather. Wear sturdy footwear and tough clothing. Farm Play: Hot Coals Dinner

Carter Historic Farm

Join us in the farm house for good food and cheer as we settle into winter after another long year of hard work and play at the farm. We provide a meal of meat, vegetables and dessert cooked over fireplace coals. Participants are asked to bring one dish from a list provided (cooking over hot coals optional).
