Wood County has reported 159 new COVID cases, two deaths and 13 hospitalizations since Tuesday, according to today’s report from the Wood County Health Department.
That brings the total for the county to 17,049 cases, 247 deaths, and 785 hospitalizations from COVID.
Wood County is seeing an average of 40 new COVID cases each day, and is now at 313 COVID cases per 100,000 residents, keeping the county in the high transmission range.
During the last two weeks, the 553 new COVID cases in the county broken down into ZIP Code areas show that all areas of the county are affected. The highest number of cases in the last two weeks were reported in Perrysburg, 185; Bowling Green, 110; BGSU campus, 7; North Baltimore, 38; Walbridge, 30; Northwood, 25; and Rossford, 22.
Several schools in the county have reported recent cases of COVID. The report issued Oct. 14, gave an update of cases, including:

- Penta, 11 students, 0 staff.
- Perrysburg, 26 students, 4 staff.
- Rossford, 8 students, 1 staff.
- St. Rose Preschool, 1 student, 0 staff.
- St. Rose Elementary, 2 students, 0 staff.
- Wood County Educational Service Center, 0 students, 1 staff.
