Wood County reports 30 new COVID cases since Thursday

Wood County is now up to 13,163 confirmed and probable cases from COVID-19 since last March, according to the Monday, May 17, update from the Wood County Health Department. 

That is 30 new cases since the last report on Thursday, May 13.

The county has recorded a total of 221 deaths from COVID, with no new deaths since Thursday.

A total of 652 local residents have been hospitalized for the coronavirus since last March, with one more being hospitalized since Thursday. 

The county currently has 122 cases per 100,000 residents.

As of Monday, a total of 62,648 local residents have gotten at least their first dose of a COVID vaccine. That is 47.89% of the county population.
