Wood County has reported 264 new COVID cases, five more deaths, and 29 more hospitalizations since Monday, according to today’s report from the Wood County Health Department.
That brings the total for the county to 21,101 cases, 290 deaths, and 953 hospitalizations from COVID.
Wood County is seeing an average of 66 new COVID cases each day, and is now at 377 COVID cases per 100,000 residents, keeping the county in the high transmission range.
During the last two weeks, the 772 new COVID cases in the county broken down into ZIP Code areas show that all areas of the county are affected. The highest number of cases in the last two weeks were reported in Perrysburg, 251; Bowling Green, 147; Northwood, 63; Rossford, 52; Walbridge, 42; North Baltimore, 39; Pemberville, 31; Weston, 30; Millbury, 17; Bradner, 14; Grand Rapids, 13; Rudolph, 11; and BGSU, 11.
Several schools in the county have reported recent cases of COVID. The report issued Dec. 16 gave an update of 70 student and 12 staff cases, including:

- BG City Schools, 8 students, 1 staff.
- Eastwood, 2 students, 3 staff.
- Elmwood, 1 student, 0 staff.
- Lake, 8 students, 0 staff.
- Montessori, 2 students, 1 staff.
- North Baltimore, 1 student, 0 staff.
- Northwood, 4 students, 4 staff.
- Otsego, 16 students, 0 staff.
- Perrysburg, 7 students, 0 staff.
- Penta, 11 students, 0 staff.
- Rossford, 8 students, 2 staff.
- St. Rose, 1 student, 0 staff.
- Wood County Educational Service Center, 0 students, 1 staff.
