Wood County has reported 562 new COVID cases, three more deaths, and eight more hospitalizations since Monday, according to today’s report from the Wood County Health Department.
That brings the total for the county to 22,570 cases, 303 deaths, and 986 hospitalizations from COVID.
Wood County is seeing an average of 141 new COVID cases each day, and is now at 560 COVID cases per 100,000 residents, keeping the county in the high transmission range.
During the last two weeks, the 1,158 new COVID cases in the county broken down into ZIP Code areas show that all areas of the county are affected. The highest number of cases in the last two weeks were reported in Perrysburg, 467; Bowling Green, 251; Northwood, 81; Walbridge, 59; Rossford, 54; Millbury, 44; North Baltimore, 34; Pemberville, 26; Fostoria, 21; Luckey, 19; Weston, 16; Bradner, 14; Grand Rapids, 13; Rudolph, 13; and Risingsun, 10.
Several schools in the county have reported recent cases of COVID. The report issued Dec. 30 gave an update of 46 student and 15 staff cases, including:

- Eastwood, 0 students, 1 staff.
- Elmwood, 0 students, 0 staff.
- Lake, 1 student, 0 staff.
- North Baltimore, 0 students, 0 staff.
- Northwood, 2 students, 0 staff.
- Otsego, 0 students, 0 staff.
- Perrysburg, 29 students, 6 staff.
- Penta, 3 students, 0 staff.
- Rossford, 0 students, 0 staff.
- St. Louis, 2 students, 0 staff.
- St. Rose, 1 student, 0 staff.
- Westside Montessori, 1 student, 1 staff.
- Wood County ESC, 0 students, 1 staff.
