Wood County surpasses 50% mark for residents getting vaccine

Wood County has surpassed the 50% mark for residents who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The latest numbers out today from the Ohio Department of Health show Wood County at 65,443 people (50.03%) getting at least their first dose. 

Only five counties have rates higher – Delaware, Cuyahoga, Lake, Medina and Ottawa counties.

According to ODH, the following ages in Wood County have received the vaccine:

  • 0-19 years – 15%
  • 20-29 years – 39%
  • 30-39 years – 53%
  • 40-49 years – 59%
  • 50-59 years – 67%
  • 60-64 years – 77%
  • 65-69 years – 86%
  • 70-74 years – 92%
  • 75-79 years – 90%
  • 80 plus years – 83%
