Wood Haven Health Care made another resident’s wish come true with the facility’s Dare to Dream program.

Last week, Carla Bennett, who has multiple sclerosis and has been at Wood Haven for five years, was granted her wish to go on a train ride.

Wood Haven staff couldn’t find a handicap accessible train, until calling Cedar Point – which was glad to accommodate Bennett’s wish.

Upon arriving at the Cedar Point train, Bennett was given a tour of the train station and was presented with her own train conductor hat.

She was assisted onto the back of the train – where she got to go on the train ride through Frontierland.

After the train ride, a Cedar Point employee asked Bennett if she wanted to go down the park’s boardwalk. Bennett’s face lit up and she shook her head.
