The Wood Soil and Water Conservation District is hosting the 68th Annual Meeting, Awards Banquet and Conservation ATV Tour on Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation 13737 Middleton Pike, Bowling Green. If you’d like to go on the tours, registration for the ATV tour begins at 8 a.m. Tours include Renewed Outdoors, a native plant residential landscape in Perrysburg, the Bowling Green Water Treatment Plant, and the Ag Incubator Foundation. At the banquet, residents and landowners will have the opportunity to vote for no more than two supervisors to serve a three year term on the Wood SWCD Board of Supervisors. The terms of Bernard Scott and Ron Snyder expire on Dec. 31, 2017. Nominees are Steve Benner, Bernard Scott, and Ron Snyder. Voting is 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Lunch is served at 12:15 p.m. Local author, Nathan Crook will tell the story of the food of the Great Black Swamp. His book, “A Culinary History of the Great Black Swamp,” will be available for purchase and includes the author’s signature.
