Safety Town located on the grounds of Kenwood Elementary School

The City of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department is seeking youth volunteers to assist with Safety Town programs this summer. This is an opportunity for youth to gain valuable experience, develop responsibility and leadership skills, and work in a fun environment.

The volunteer opportunities open include the following:

  • Monday, June 12, to Friday June 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. (Advanced Safety Town)
  • Monday, June 12, to Friday June 23, from 8 to 10 a.m. (Safety Town)
  • Monday, June 12, to Friday June 23, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Safety Town)

It is important that volunteers are available to attend daily for the duration of the session for the successful delivery of the program.

Volunteers should be entering grades 7 to 12 in this fall. Volunteer applicants should be responsible and enjoy working with younger children. They will help assist the Safety Town Director in leading them through the Safety Town curriculum.
