Volunteers at Zoar Lutheran Church rolled up their sleeves on Sunday, Oct. 1, to participate in Rise Against Hunger.
The special service project was to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Zoar’s Family Life Center. From 8 a.m. to noon, three shifts of volunteers packaged meal kits to help satisfy hunger throughout the world. The food-packing event was a meaningful way to celebrate the anniversary of the Family Life Center, which provides space where members of the church and community can live out the mission to “Gather, Grow and Give.”
Zoar strives to work as a church community to gather for worship and service, grow in love and faith, and give to the community and those in need. Anyone interested in more information about service projects and programming with Zoar can contact the church at 419-874-4346 to sign up for the newsletter.
