BG woman arrested after allegedly waving handgun at another vehicle during road rage incident

A Bowling Green woman was arrested Tuesday (April 22) after she allegedly waved a handgun at people in another car during a road rage incident.

Silvia Pedroza, 42, was charged with aggravated menacing and taken to Wood County Jail.

Bowling Green Police were called by a motorist around 7:20 p.m., after an incident at the roundabout at East Wooster Street and Campbell Hill Road. The motorist and a passenger reported that the driver of a gray Honda nearly struck their vehicle and waved a handgun at them.

Police found the vehicle with the help of the license plate cameras in the city, and officers went to Pedroza’s home in the 300 block of West Evers Avenue.

Pedroza reportedly told police she has frequent road range incidents, including two earlier in the day in Perrysburg and Toledo. But she denied being involved in the Bowling Green incident. Police found a handgun in her vehicle, and took her to jail.
