With deep sadness we announce that our beloved Ronald Joseph Serrato passed away on April 27th, 2025 in his home at the young age of 55. Ron was born in Fayetteville, Fort Bragg in North Carolina on March 23, 1970 to Reynaldo Serrato (Julie) and Charlene Marsh. Growing up in Weston, Ohio he enjoyed spending time with his loving siblings Donna (Jerry) Norton, Angela Serrato, Carlos Serrato, NaKisha Serrato, Shawn Serrato and Cassie Marsh. After his childhood years he built his family, his home and his career in Bowling Green and loved sharing this life he loved with his friends and family.
Whether it be a meal, homemade beef jerky, hosting and sharing his pool in the summer or handing you a piece of his favorite hard candy, he truly wanted to share any and everything he had. It is said by many that he gave the warmest and best hugs and his family can confirm. He was a selfless man who served others over himself and loved with no expectations.
Ron’s favorite pastimes included traveling which he did yearly with his family to Florida while his girls were young and trips to Cedar Point and Port Clinton. He enjoyed the warm breeze and a blue sky while riding his motorcycle. He especially loved watching his family grow by 10 grandchildren that really brought out his tender qualities. All around he loved God’s creation outdoors. Animals were naturally drawn to him including his cat he loved named Chloe. He would befriend every single person he met and was considered the joy of any social event. In his later years he was overjoyed to travel to Israel with his wife Stacy to be baptized where Jesus himself was baptized and to walk where Jesus walked. His typical days were spent at his job where him and his son in law Tyler would grill and share lunch and treasure hunt in abandoned PODS. He quickly turned his free time at work into a passion for finding valuables and collecting. He built a unique and impressive collection of coins amongst many other things. Ron was proud of taking other people’s forgotten things and seeing its value.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 32 years Stacy Serrato and his three daughters Chelsea Serrato, Taylor (Tyler) Luettke and Audrey (Robert) Davidson. One of his proudest names is PawPaw to his grandchildren Landon, Aria, Kenley and Isaiah Davidson, Marcus and Darin Stewart, Charles Tuggle and Leighton, Ruthie and Joseph Luettke. He was anticipating meeting a new grandchild to The Davidson family due in October, 2025.
He is proceeded in death by loving grandparents and nephew.
Visitation for Ron will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, 1460 W Wooster Street, Bowling Green. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 11:00 at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Tontogany Cemetery.
