A Bowling Green man was cited for discharging a firearm in city limits Friday (Jan. 9) after he allegedly fired a gun through his apartment wall into a neighboring apartment.
Nicholas Huziak, 21, told police he had been practicing assembling and disassembling his Glock 9mm handgun in his bedroom when he discharged a single round through the wall in the 1000 block of Varsity East.
The neighbor had been in bed when he heard a loud noise, then saw a hole in the common wall between the apartments. There was an additional hole in an interior wall of the bedroom, and a scuff on the ceiling consistent with a bullet ricocheting and changing directions in the room, according to the police report.
