BG Police arrest man for disorderly conduct after repeated calls to apartment

Bowling Green Police arrested a man for disorderly conduct on Monday after being called to a residence eight times this year for similar complaints.

Police were called about a possible fight at the apartment in the 800 block of Scott Hamilton Drive, on Monday (June 8) around 10:34 p.m.

When officers arrived, they reportedly heard yelling and a loud crash. The man and woman living in the apartment said they had been arguing, and a window had been broken, but nothing physical had occurred.

Officers reportedly explained that they would be citing both residents for disorderly conduct because of the repetitive calls to the residence. And they cautioned that if police had to return, the residents could possibly go to jail.

After that warning, Matthew Bernal, 26, went back into the apartment and began yelling at someone inside.

Bernal was arrested for disorderly conduct/loud noise with persistence, and taken to Wood County Jail.
