Thomas “TJ” Sager Jr., 30, was born on March 18, 1996, at Toledo Hospital to Thomas “Tom” and Cari Sager. He passed away on July 3 leaving behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and lasting friendships.
TJ graduated from Otsego High School in 2014 and was a longtime resident of Weston, Ohio before moving to Bowling Green, Ohio. He was employed at the Bowling Green Meijer, where his friendly personality and sense of humor were appreciated by coworkers.
TJ had a passion for gaming and Marvel movies, but what he treasured most were the friendships he had maintained since grade school. He preferred a small circle of friends, believing that genuine relationships mattered more than numbers. Those fortunate enough to know TJ experienced his unwavering loyalty, quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and genuinely kind heart. He had a unique ability to make people laugh and feel valued, and the memories he created with family and friends will be cherished forever.
TJ is survived by his loving mother, Cari Sager of Winter Haven, Florida; his sister, Sarah Sager of Anderson, Indiana; his best friends, Brandon Seeley and Bronx Blunk; his maternal grandmother, Sue Metcalf; his paternal grandmother, Becky Sager; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas “Tom” Sager, and his paternal grandfather, Fred Sager.
Though TJ’s time with us was far too short, the love he shared, the laughter he brought, and the loyalty he showed to those closest to him will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, Bowling Green.
