It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juanita Gonzales, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on August 31, 2026, at the age of 71.
Born on July 2, 1955, Juanita dedicated over 30 years of her life to serving as a nurses aide, primarily at BG Manor. Known to many as a second mom, Juanita was regarded as one of the strongest women they had ever met. She touched countless lives with her cool demeanor, kindness, and culinary skills. Her love for her flower garden, camping, and spending time outdoors reflected her vibrant spirit. Above all, she adored her family, especially her grandchildren.
Juanita is survived by her sons, Jesus Gonzales Jr., Justin Gonzales (Kelly), and Edward Coup; her daughters, Heather Gonzales (Juan “Pauly”) and Alisha Gonzales; as well as her cherished grandchildren: Jesus III, Lydia, Shelby, Liam, Bella, Ezekiah, Tianna, Jasmine, Alexia, Justin Jr., Riley, Kyerstin, Noah, Landyn, and Charlotte.
She is also survived by her siblings Howard (Vernice) Clark, Janice Maldinado, Terry Clark, Theresa Courtney, Timothy (Marcey) Clark, and Patricia (Mike) Haylett. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents Howard “Chet” and Betty, her husband Jesus, her sister Dorothy, and her grandchildren Abram and Lyra.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Juanita will be held at the Civic Center in Rudolph on September 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
