Bowling Green Police Division responded to six reported thefts – of cash, credit cards, a speaker, a MARCs radio, a laptop and a parking sign – over the past weekend.
- Saturday morning a woman reported her purse was stolen sometime during the night from her unlocked vehicle parked in the 100 block of Lehman Avenue.
- Also Saturday morning, a man reported a speaker and amplifier were stolen from his unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of North Enterprise Street. The items were valued at $900.
- Saturday evening a man reported that he had been playing on his phone while sitting behind a store in the 1000 block of North Main Street. He said that he went into the store, but realized 10 to 15 minutes later that he had left his wallet outside in his car. He reported that his wallet had been moved, and a bank debit card and pay card had been taken.
- Later on Saturday, a man reported a MARCs radio and $1,500 in cash had been stolen from the center console of his pickup truck parked in the 200 block of Troup Avenue.
- On Sunday morning, a man reported leaving his backpack with a laptop computer in it on the back patio of a hotel in the 1600 block of East Wooster Street when he went inside to use the restroom. He said he returned five minutes later and the backpack was gone.
- Sunday afternoon, an employee of the CVS store at 212 E. Wooster St., reported that a sign reading “No Event Parking” had been taken from the Prospect Street entrance of the store.
