Lucine Spangler, 102, of Toledo and formerly Bowling Green passed away September 27, 2022. She was born on November 11, 1919 to the late John and Mary (Meurer) Romaker in Custar, Ohio. She married Robert M. Spangler and they were married 39 years until he passed away.
Lucine is survived by her daughters: Deborah (Don) Gerschultz and Teresa (Kim) Keogh; grandchildren: Christine, Robin, Stacey, Elaine, Brenda, Richard, and Jason; 14 great-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and good friend, Velma Dorman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons: Robert L. and John Spangler; baby girl, Elaine; and siblings James, Thomas, and Margaret.
Lucine graduated from Deshler High School. She enjoyed gardening. She liked picking, cleaning and loved eating the strawberries she grew. She and Robert owned Pure Milk Dairy in Bowling Green and she later operated The Carousel Dress Shop with her sister Margaret. Lucine was a life long member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
Memorial contribution may be gifted to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
Visitation of Lucine will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 11:30 am until the time of funeral service at 1:30 pm at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green. Burial will immediately follow at Wood County Memory Gardens.
