From BOWLING GREEN HIGH SCHOOL
The Bowling Green Exchange Club and Bowling Green High School have announced that Arianna Chung is the February 2026 Student of the Month. Chung is a senior at Bowling Green High School and will graduate on May 24. She is the daughter of Jenica and Steven Chung.
Chung’s school honors and activities include membership in the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society, as well as recognition as a National Merit Commended Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, and recipient of multiple College Board National Recognition awards. She has completed various Advanced Placement and College Credit Plus courses, earning perfect scores on several AP exams. Chung is also part of the Quiz Bowl team where she is a varsity player and team captain.
Chung is highly involved in both music and the arts. She serves as principal clarinet, clarinet section leader, and treasurer in the band program and has been selected for the OMEA District 1 Honor Band for three consecutive years. She was also chosen for the Ohio All-State Band and has performed in the Northwest Regional Orchestra multiple times. In addition, Chung is an officer in the drama club, where she has served in leadership roles including dungeonmaster and secretary, and is an inducted Ohio Thespian. She has written, directed, and performed original work at the State Thespian Conference, earning second place in the Tech Challenge.
Beyond school activities, Chung was selected to participate in the BGSU Photochemistry Department PICNICS Internship, where she conducted independent laboratory research and presented her findings. She is also a participant in the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program and a SAT tutor with Schoolhouse.
Chung currently holds a 4.35 GPA and a composite ACT score of 35. After high school, she plans to attend a four-year university to study chemical engineering.
